Mine is to post more interesting blogs and make more Roblox videos. If you read through the comments on the Roblox google+ most people are saying that they can't script or build, just like me! That will annoy Roblox! More people play on games then create their own, which isn't surprising...

July 4th RARE gear for sale on Roblox!

All of the American readers will know that July the 4th is coming up, so Roblox have updated the catalog with loads of American gear items. Read the system notification below!

With the 4th of July rapidly approaching, we thought we'd take some time to create some gear for this week that has some patriotic spirit! Hope you like the colors red, white and blue. We don't have to hope you like dynamic lighting, however. We already know you do. Check it out!

Patriotic Sparkler: Show some American spirit with this sparkler, which shoots out red, white, and blue flares that are as festive as they are bright. The lights themselves have dynamic lighting enabled as well.
American Rockets 1776: While the sparkler lets you show your patriotism at ground level, why not show it at a higher level (literally)? Use this Fireworks gun to launch America-themed, dynamically lit fireworks into the sky that will explode in red, white, and blue flares.
Bald Eagle: Now we're talking. Unleash this massive bird and for sixty seconds it will fly around attacking your enemies with red, white and blue lasers it emits from it's eyes. Let me repeat that. This eagle will shoot red, white and blue lasers from it's eyes.
ChiefJustus Gavel: Bring the pain! This massive gavel has three attacks. First, click once for an over head strike. Click and hold the left mouse button, and your character will jump several feet in the air and do a super smash attack. And if you really want to do some ground damage, hold "Q" and you will spin the gavel in a circular motion, damaging anyone in your path

You still have a couple of days to buy the time limited items, so there is no rush. More items are expected over the weekend so keep checking out this blog and Roblox.com for any news!

Rubbish Roblox update, charging players to visit games

Roblox have announced that they are beta testing a new feature where BC builders have the choice to charge players 50 robux to play their games. Once a player has bought the pass for the game, they can visit that game as many times as they like, however so many people have not even got 10 Robux so they can't go on any games which cost Robux. Basically, this is just an update which will give Roblox more money because little kids are going to want to buy Rubux, it won't help anyone. Roblox think it will help get the better games on the home page but that has already been solved with the new rating system. Here's what Roblox had to say:
Paid access gives ROBLOX game creators the ability to require that players pay to access their games. Think of it like selling a permanent subscription to a MMO — players pay once and receive unlimited access to the content. The benefits are myriad: you have an opportunity to generate more Robux, paid-access games will have their own category on the Games page (meaning another opportunity to rise to the top), and the feature further encourages high-quality content (players won’t pay for access to a bad game). It will also tie into our Top Earning sort, thereby diversifying the techniques you can use to get noticed in that list. The decision to take advantage of paid access is entirely up to the game creator.

So basically Roblox want more money, so they are considering charging players to visit games.

Roblox Mobile app update

Hey Robloxians, just to let you know that Roblox have an update on the app store for the Roblox mobile app. They have fixed bugs, crashes and added dynamic lighting, however some strange notices have come up on my Ipad screen when I launch a game and for some reason it said that the amount of tix and Robux were "Unknown". Anyway, before the update I couldn't even play a game on Roblox without it crashing so its an improvement at least.

Despicable me 2 on Roblox!

I've posted about this already, I know, but it is just so cool, I wanted to give you more information about Despicable me on Roblox. If you check your inbox on Roblox.com you will have got an e-mail from Roblox saying this:

So it seems that Roblox have collaborated with Despicable me 2, because if you click on "more" they have added a new link to the despicable me 2 Roblox page, with games, trailers and other things that
I don't really care about.

So that is quite good I suppose, but the best thing is the new(ish) despicable me themed items released! (The two middle items)

 

 

 

They go off sale in 10 days and only cost 1 ticket! The minion has already sold over 200 000 in 2 days! Crazy!

Catalog items off sale.

As predicted, all of the timed items released in a mid summer nights sale have been taken off the catalog, so the people that bought them have some rare items! Instead, for a limited time only (11 days) you can by your very own minion and minion goggles from despicable me for just 1 tix!!! Hey are to celebrate the release of despicable me 2 which comes to cinemas on 3rd July. There will be images shortly people, but you can just see them yourselves on Roblox.com.
Also, if you fancy winning 1000 Robux, just fill in this question air made by Roblox and they will pick 10 winners for giving the best answers who will win R$1000!

Rare items going off sale on Roblox

All of the items that went up for sale yesterday In the mid summer nights sale are going off sale or limited in around 12 hours! The shooting star has already gone limited this morning. So if you want to buy one of the items, make sure you grab yours very soon... Or never.

Every item has been released for the mid summer night sale! Here they are!!!

Now that is a lot of items for just one day! 3 faces, 2 shades, 4 gears, 4 hats, and 1 wings and headphones and owl! All limited items or time limited items have sold out now sadly however you can still buy the limited items at their new higher prices. This has a been a crazy day for the Roblox catalog and Roblox have announced that all of the items have been released for this little festival. Hopefully you have bought all of the items you wanted to, and who knows what new clothing is around the corner...

RARE items for sale on Roblox!

Hey Roblox people! As I said yesterday, many new and rare items were released over the last couple of hours, and there are still more to come!

(I know the zebra and sad face have been on sale for ages but who cares!)

So sadly the Starlight Shades have already sold out, even though they were only put up for sale an hour age, but they are still selling at a cheap price. Only 2500 of the were sold so they will increase in price fairly soon. The green starface is still available but once all 15 000 of them have sold out they will go limited U, so you may gain a fair amount of Robux in the future. The sleepy owl doesn't have a limited stock, but instead a time limited. once the time has ran out (in 3 hours) they will go off sale. The shooting star (hat) also has a time limit, however once the time is up, they are going limited U.  The other two items don't have time or stock limits, they are normal.

If you've read my earlier blog post you will know that many more items are going up for sale over then next day or two, so keep checking this blog and Roblox.com for any updates!

NEW Roblox Log-in page!!!

Have you noticed the new Roblox Log in page? It looks just like the Roblox Mobile app log in page with the blue buildings in the background, but it takes a bit of getting used to. Here it is anyway!

The buildings don't move like they do on the app yet, but maybe they will update this soon. I have no clue when this was updated and for some reason I can't see this new page on my other computer. I don't know what's going on with it but I thought I should post it anyway. Once I know why it isn't showing I will post it on here, so keep updated. And don't forget the massive Roblox clothing sale where you can buy rare items at a low price for a limited time!

MEGA Roblox item sale and new rare items!!!

OK people, in around one hour there will be a massive sale on clothing items on Roblox to celebrate the longest day. They will only be available for 48 hours (Bit weird considering the longest day is only 24 hours...) however some items will sell out way before then as they go limited. Here is a list of the items.

Gear:

Sidewalk Chalk Sword:  Leave your mark on foes, in more ways than one! This rare gear item not only

lets you attack, but also draw on people and environments.

Instant Treehouse: Nothing says “summer” like a Treehouse! Click once to sprout a massive treehouse out of the ground, instantly!

Tennis Racquet: When you hit someone with the tennis racquet, their heads will poke through the broken strings. You also get the added bonus of seeing a ROBLOXian with a racquet around their neck.

Rocket Ship: One click and you’re off into the air! Due to the laws of physics, you’ll have to come down at some point, which is why this item also comes with a handy parachute for your descent.

Hats:

We will be selling several rare and limited hats, so make sure and keep and eye on the Catalog throughout the night. Here’s a few that will be featured.

Royal Fairy Wings: Our already-rare Fairy Wings will get a nice new shade of royal blue this weekend. A limited number will be sold, so keep an eye out.

Blue Guardia: The classic ROBLOX Guardia will be out in a brand new shade of blue, selling for a limited time!

We’ll also be selling a midnight blue version of one of our most popular and exclusive ROBLOX hats.

Faces:

Star Face: Not only will we be releasing a brand new Star Face, but we’ll be releasing multiple versions of it as the night wears on. Each version will feature different colours of stars and be increasingly rare, so snatch yours up ASAP.

This is just a small sample of the items that will be featured–we encourage you to join us starting at 9 p.m. and stay up late to see all the items were offering. Featured items will be available for 48 hours (or until they sell out, where applicable).

Thumbs Up! Game ratings are now live

As you may have noticed, ROBLOX now has a “thumbs up” and “thumbs down” rating feature on all games.

With this feature, you can rate any given place once (and you can change your rating at any time) by clicking the thumbs up or thumbs down icon on that game's page. In order to vote, you must first play the game and you must have a verified email address on file. We will be moderating these ratings as needed; for example, if we notice a mass down-vote on a particular place, we’ll investigate the activity to make sure it’s not malicious in nature.

This feature is not manageable by game creators – that means they don’t have the option to turn it off. We believe this will help developers focus on building higher quality, more engaging games and places.

Initially, we will not factor the rating of a place into games search and presentation, but we plan to integrate it in the near future. This means that, eventually, games that are overwhelmingly given the “thumbs down” will get pushed off the top Games pages, even if they are being visited frequently. For now, we recommend you take a look at the public sentiment toward a game before you decide to spend time visiting it. If it seems as though other ROBLOXians don’t like it, it might be the kind of place that, for instance, uses a misleading thumbnail image or title to attract your attention.

This all sounds good, but I can imagine some complaints from little kids who think their games are amazing yet they still get loads of dislikes, if they're new builders or something. But other than that this will save many people time visiting a game which sucks because now you can just read the ratings!

MASSIVE Roblox update!!! Thumbs up or down rating!

Today, Roblox have updated their website big time! You now have the ability to vote thumbs up if you like the game or thumbs down if you don't, like on youtube.

This allows players to see the ratings of the game before they play on it, and if you've played the game yourself, you can also vote. Roblox are not having a game sort for most voted games, however they are considering this in the future. You can only vote if you have a valid email address. Also, if a game is popular but has loads of dislikes, it will be pushed down the popular page!
As well as this update, look at the new layout for games!

The play button is at the side instead of underneath and the thumbnail is much bigger!
And Roblox Mobile app has been updated, fixing the ticket glitch I posted about the other day and to show the voting bar.
These are big updates and I will be posting more about them later.

Sad day for Robloxians around the world...

Today is a very sad day for many robloxians, especially me and my sister Duckgirl63.
Basically, Roblox have announced the nominees for the Roblox film fest, and our video isn't on the list. This is a shame for us, however the films on the list do look very professional.
It still isn't to late to watch our video though! Here is the link below!

New items on Roblox (15 June)

As I said yesterday, many items have been released today! Here they are below (Some were posted yesterday as well but here they are again).

As you can see, the Trolladad and Cool Story Air Conditioner have time limits, and will go of sale or limited. So you have around 1 and a half days to purchase those items. The Trolladad is to celebrate Fathers day and kills your enemies by calling for Trollamom and the pair both pound your opponent with fried chicken! The Regeneration coil makes you regenerate (improve your health) more quickly, which is really use full. I like all of the items released today, can't wait to see what is in store for tomorrow!

Roblox catalog update 14th June

Hey Robloxians around the globe, hope you're having a darn good day!
I haven't bothered posting the catalog updates so sorry about that, but here they are now!

My favourite are the cat shades, they would look awesome with some of the packages! Also, the Roblox summer Beach visor has been released and has already sold over 18 000 in the first 19 hours since release! That is crazy!!! But it only has 180 favourites so far, that is hardly any! Weird!
And don't you think the Captain Bot Beard looks like one of the robot pirates on Rayman?

Have fun saving up for all these items, it is expected that a lot of items will be released over the weekend!

Roblox mobile update glitch

If you've been on the App Store recently you will have noticed that there is an update for roblox mobile. The update lets you play as a guest and have fixed some bugs (and in doing so created a new one!). Basically, if you sign in to your account, on the home screen it tells you how many Robux and tickets you have. You probably have around 1000 or so, however look what it says on the app!

10 500!!! How?!?

I've logged in on other accounts and it says the same thing!!!!
This sounds pretty amazing right?
WRONG!
If you then click on your profile look what it says then...

(I know I don't have many, I bought a very expensive tie...)
So basically you haven't got any extra tix, it just says you do. Annoying, I know...

Roblox words of wisdom

Did you know 99% of the content on ROBLOX is created by the community? Roblox have announced this statement today, pretty awesome! But then again think about what percentage of the games on Roblox are, lets say, "uncreative"...

No, but honestly this just shows how people at home can easily create amazing structures which millions of people across the world can play and enjoy! Good job people, and good job Roblox!

In other news, the public voting for the Roblox International Film Fest has closed and it is now being judged by the Roblox staff, who will announce the winners next week! Who's excited?!

Roblox update their games page with "top grossing" feature

Roblox are trying to improve the places on the game page by creating a new category/sort of games called the "top grossing" like on the app store or google play. Basically, they will put all of the professional games on that page, like apocalypse rising, robloxcity etc. they want their site just to look more professional for new users and review companies. This is a good idea for users who want good quality games to find easily, instead of going through pages of games called "Ride a cart into..." or ".... tycoon" and other games like that. However, it could have a bad affect for new builders who build good quality games, but they might not get as many place visits because everyone is visiting the same games on the top grossing page, and so they wont go on the newer builders games, even if they are well made! Lets hope this doesn't happen and Roblox advertise a large range of top quality games on this new category!

Yet another themed catalog update has been released today, celebration World ocean Day this weekend!

Winners of the Bloxcon poster contest announced!

Today, the Roblox poster contest results were announced on the Roblox blog. They are all so amazing and the winners posters look so professional! There were three winners of the competition, one for each location of Bloxcon 2013, along with two runners up. Enough of the talk, here are the Winners!
The winner of Bloxcon Chicago is..  Freaked!

I love that poster so much, it must have taken so much effort! Nice one Freaked!

The winner of Bloxcon London is... Hammer124

This is just as good as Freaked's poster! Well done Hammer!

The third and final winner for Bloxcon New York is... BlastOMan!

He even got to advertise his Roblox Character! That's him in the poster! Again, a spiffing poster, good one Blast!

So these Robloxians are the official winners of the Roblox poster contest and have all won: a virtual Roblox item, their posters will be handed out at the Bloxcon their poster advertises and they will receive their printed poster signed by the Roblox admins! And the two runners up for each city will also receive the virtual item! Great work people!

Not much happening with the catalog these last couple of days, a few old items have been listed on the Featured page, and one hat has been released.
