How to get Gear on ROBLOX for Verifying your e-mail

If you log on to ROBLOX any time this week you will see this notification on your home page:

So basically, ROBLOX are making some security improvements for people's accounts, which means you must verify your e-mail. To try to persuade people to do this, they will give players with a verified e-mail address a free hat, seen below.

Strange that it says the hat was created in 2012, it must have just never been released.

The notification explains how you check if your e-mail address is verified, it is very easy to do and takes under a minute, so it's worth doing. In my opinion, ROBLOX should just make people verify their e-mail as soon as they make their account.

The hat will be given out on November 17th. I am not sure why it says "Get Gear No One Else Has" when the item you get is a "hat", and almost everyone on ROBLOX will have it as most people will have verified their e-mail addresses. So the ROBLOX notification is not really true.

ALS ice bucket challenge on ROBLOX

Roblox have recently released a new 10 Robux gear, an ice bucket. It is Roblox's input to the viral trend where you pour a bucket of ice cold water over your head to raise money for the charity ALS Research and nominate other people to do the same. Now you can take part with out even getting wet by using your Roblox avatar!

10 Robux is one of the cheapest amounts Roblox has ever sold a gear for, so it's a good buy! Also, by buying the item you are supporting ALS, making it an even better investment. You can throw the water over other players which is always fun, or throw it over yourself by pressing "q", if that takes your fancy! When you throw it over your head, your avatar turns icy blue and can't walk for a few seconds. Each time, different text appears in a blue bubble above your character. Your character's face also changes to a cold, unhappy face, as you would expect!





Once you have brought your ice bucket, you can film your avatar completing the ice bucket challenge and upload it to YouTube and of course, don't forget to nominate your other Roblox friends to do the same!

Roblox clan week gear items!

When you next log into Roblox, you should find you have a new system notification from Roblox titled "Clan week gear items". Here is what it says:

A battle looms in the mists of ROBLOXia. Telamon works with a Redcliff Commander by candlelight on his next strategic strike. You can see his war-beaten Redcliff sword and shield resting on the table--this is one of four powerful gear items being released this week!

Overseer's Axe: Swing this at your foe to do up to 25 hit points of damage per hit. What's more, upon contact a floating orb well begin shooting lasers at your target for five seconds. Once it goes away, you can pick a new target to incur the wrath of your laser.

Korblox Mage Staff: Click once to summon a barrage of spears that will fly out of the sky, glow upon hitting the ground, then explode. If you are hit by any spear from the sky (or caught in one of the subsequent explosions) it will count as a wipeout.

Knights of Redcliff: Deluxe Sword and Shield:This epic sword and shield combo has three modes. In Normal Mode, click once to swing the sword for 30 hit points of damage. Double click and hold down the mouse button for six seconds to enable Special Mode. What's you're in Special Mode hold down the mouse button to swing your sword back and forth in front of you, for 35 hit points of damage per hit. You can also run a taunt animation by hitting the "Q" key. Hold down "Q" in normal mode to switch to Defence Mode--this will make your character substantially slower, but allow him to take up to 300 hit points of damage.

Knights of the Splintered Sky: Wind Summoning Horn: Harness the destructive power of wind! Click once to blow into this horn, which will sudden six tornadoes which will show up in front of you, and move forward at ten studs a second. These tornadoes will destroy any unanchored part they touch, breaking welds and generally just sending everything flying through the air. The tornadoes last for ten seconds.

The "Overseer's Axe" (1000 sold) and the "wild summoning Horn" (750 sold) are both limited items that have sold out. They are now selling for around R$1500-ish. The Korblox staff costs R$1000 and is not limited, and the Sword and shield costs R$1000. Other items may still go up for sale, not listed above, so keep your Robloxian's eyes peeled.

All of the American readers will know that July the 4th is coming up, so Roblox have updated the catalog with loads of American gear items. Read the system notification below!

With the 4th of July rapidly approaching, we thought we'd take some time to create some gear for this week that has some patriotic spirit! Hope you like the colors red, white and blue. We don't have to hope you like dynamic lighting, however. We already know you do. Check it out!

Patriotic Sparkler: Show some American spirit with this sparkler, which shoots out red, white, and blue flares that are as festive as they are bright. The lights themselves have dynamic lighting enabled as well.
American Rockets 1776: While the sparkler lets you show your patriotism at ground level, why not show it at a higher level (literally)? Use this Fireworks gun to launch America-themed, dynamically lit fireworks into the sky that will explode in red, white, and blue flares.
Bald Eagle: Now we're talking. Unleash this massive bird and for sixty seconds it will fly around attacking your enemies with red, white and blue lasers it emits from it's eyes. Let me repeat that. This eagle will shoot red, white and blue lasers from it's eyes.
ChiefJustus Gavel: Bring the pain! This massive gavel has three attacks. First, click once for an over head strike. Click and hold the left mouse button, and your character will jump several feet in the air and do a super smash attack. And if you really want to do some ground damage, hold "Q" and you will spin the gavel in a circular motion, damaging anyone in your path
